We are a community-rooted organization making space for heritage, education, and empowerment in Wimauma and across Tampa Bay.
The short version
Ifi means culture.
Ifi—pronounced “E-Fay”—is the Zulu word for culture. It names the work we care about: keeping people connected to the stories, practices, and possibilities that make a community feel like home.
Ifi Heritage Center Inc. is an IRC, Florida-based 501(c)(3), 509(a)(2) certified tax-exempt charitable organization. Our focus is local and our welcome is wide: we are committed to a positive, meaningful impact in Wimauma and the Tampa Bay area.
That commitment shows up through programs, membership, giving, and the everyday work of bringing people into the same room.
